1. Introduction

Welcome to BrainyBee, a service provided by MedCost Data LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). We provide an AI-powered educational platform for exam preparation and coursework analysis, and BrainyBee Invest, an investment research tool currently in a limited pilot. This policy explains how we handle your personal data across BrainyBee, including Invest.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Data: Name, email, and profile picture via Google Sign-In.
• User Content: Coursework, notes, and documents you upload for AI analysis.
• Usage Data: Test scores and interaction logs to improve the AI models.

Learn pilot measurement

We measure whether people discover Learn, create an account, complete practice tests, return to study and top up their shared BrainyBee wallet. We use a random first-party visitor cookie, lasting up to 180 days, to connect visits across Learn and our main website. When you sign in, we may associate those visits with your account, including practice completed before registration.

These pilot records contain approved campaign labels, certification references, event times, account references and purchase or refund amounts. They do not contain your email address, answers, study or chat text, full URLs, advertising click IDs or card details. This measurement uses our own database and is available only to authorized operators.

Learn does not send pilot visit data when your browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. When our account service receives that signal during registration or a profile sync, it also excludes your account from pilot reporting and further account-linked study capture. Previously collected records remain stored until deletion or the pilot cleanup, but excluded accounts are left out of reports.

We retain pilot records through the final cohort's 28-day follow-up and pilot review, then remove them during cleanup. Unlinked visitor records become eligible for cleanup after 90 days without activity. Deleting your account also removes its linked pilot history. Contact us below to request exclusion or deletion.

BrainyBee Invest pilot

Invest uses your BrainyBee account; there is no separate sign-up. When you use Invest we store your pilot membership and trial status, the date you accepted the pilot terms, and anything you choose to save: research collections, bookmarked securities and screens, and any managers you follow or alert settings you choose. Feedback you send from Invest is stored with your account like feedback from the rest of BrainyBee.

The 13F holdings data Invest shows comes from public SEC filings made by investment managers; it is not information about you.

Invest portfolios and watchlists

If you use portfolio tracking in Invest, we store what you enter: the names of your portfolios and watchlists, the accounts you choose to track, the trades, cash movements, dividends and other activity you record, any notes and alert rules, and the values and returns we calculate from them. This is your own financial information, kept private to your account.

• You enter this information yourself. Invest does not connect to your brokerage, bank or any other financial account, and it cannot place trades or move money.
• We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or send it to any AI provider. Unlike study materials, portfolio and watchlist content is never part of the AI processing described in section 3.
• To show prices, Invest looks up public market data for the securities you track. Those lookups name only the security and the dates needed, never you, your account or your holdings.
• The web addresses of these pages contain only random identifiers, never security names, amounts or notes, so browser history, server logs and usage analytics do not reveal what you hold.

3. How We Share Data (AI Processors)

To provide our services, we send the content you upload (such as study notes) to third-party Large Language Model (LLM) providers, including Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, and models routed through OpenRouter, for processing.

• For services processed using Google Vertex AI and OpenAI under our configured business and API terms, your prompts and responses are not used to train their public models.
• The free Nemotron tutor is an exception: free-tier chats routed through OpenRouter and its upstream model provider may be logged, retained, or used for model training or improvement. Avoid sharing sensitive or confidential information in free-tier tutor chats.
• For paid OpenRouter fallback routes, we request zero-data-retention processing where the selected provider supports it.
• We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

4. Google OAuth & Limited Use

BrainyBee's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Age Requirements & Children's Privacy

BrainyBee is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age.

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

6. Data Deletion

Users can delete their account and all associated study materials at any time via the Account Settings dashboard. Upon deletion, all personal identifiers are removed from our active databases.

Your Invest portfolios, watchlists, recorded activity and alert rules are erased when you delete your account, at the moment of deletion. If that erasure cannot finish, your account is not deleted and you can simply try again. Copies held in our backups are removed within 7 days as those backups expire, and if we ever restore a backup we erase deleted accounts' portfolio data again before the restored data is used.

During the pilot, other Invest data (saved research, followed managers, 13F alert settings and your pilot-terms record) is not yet removed automatically when you delete your account. Email us at the address below and we will delete it.
